#13: Dr. Sheri Colberg

This week I'm honored to interview the "diabetes famous" Dr. Sheri Colberg, winner of the 2016 American Diabetes Association Outstanding Educator of the year award. She's the author of The Diabetic Athletes Handbook and many other books that help diabetics master their diabetes through education on motion and health. Dr. Sheri and I talk about everything from her diagnosis to the specific factors that effect diabetics during exercise. She dropped so many good bits of information in this episode.

#12: John Roth

This week I speak with mountain biker, pilot, and T1D John Roth. John was an airline pilot when he got diagnosed with T1D, and is leading the fight to allow T1Ds to fly commercially. John and I talk about his experiences with being a T1D athlete and his ideologies for nutrition and diabetes care. John is a huge inspiration to me, especially since he has found such incredible control with multiple daily injections of insulin as well as a very low carb diet. John also talks a bit about being an active participant in your own diabetes care.

#11: Christine Fallabel

This week I speak with the Denver Type One Run Chapter Leader Christine Fallabel. Christine is also an Advocacy Director for the American Diabetes Association and is a Colorado Governor appointee on the Health and Active Lifestyle statewide council. She has been T1 for 18 years and has been running consistently since 2010. Christine and I talk about how finding running has helped her manage her A1C. We also talk about how she succeeds as a T1 runner on multiple daily injections, and some of the reasons neither of us are currently on a pump.
